I would love to see Psychological Astrology discussed on this mailing list. I am teaching a class at Mount Vernon College right night entitled A course in Mythic Living in which I interpret natal charts and transit charts using Jungian Psychology, Assagioli's psychology and Greek and Roman mythology. I think that astrology came out of a ancient culture and it is best understood in that context. I believe Jung derived much of his psychology from astrology and Gnosticism. His view of the psyche with the Self as the Center and his persona correlates to the Sun and Ascendant in astrology and, of course, his Sensation, Intuition, Thinking and Feeling correlate to Astrology's Earth, Fire, Air and Water. I have read that he had a natal chart done for each of his clients. I think he realized that for these ideas to be accepted they needed to be in new, "modern" terms.

Would love to discuss these ideas.
