Subject: Introduction

I recently subscribed to the Exegesis list and am posting a short introduction. I am a professional astrologer and licensed psychotherapist. I am excited to find a forum for discussing the general theory and philosophical foundations of astrology. I have an ongoing interest in systems theory and other models which are attempting to describe relational dynamics within and between whole systems. Astrology is, I believe, such a model. Currently, I have a special interest in astrological anomalies. I am aware that advances in any discipline are often initiated through the investigation of what doesn't seem to work within the confines of the current theory. As astrologers we tend to be somewhat obsessed with "proving" astrology. Whenever we find something that seems to corroborate our theory this is fine, but doesn't lead us anywhere new. Along these lines, my theoretical interests are tending toward discovering what questions we need to begin asking ourselves, even if the answers are no where in sight. I am also interest in research methodologies which might help to focus and refine astrological thought and practice.
