The Greek Error or Return to Babylon
by Françoise Gauquelin

Note: This paper appeared in the Schneider-Gauquelin Research Journal, 'Astro-Psychological Problems', vol. 3, No. 3 (September 1985). It has been cited by Patrice Guinard (in "Planets, Colors and Metals", CURA, note 19) and by Slawomir Stachniewicz (in "Attempt of a scientific approach to astrology", CURA, note 1). It is republished here in its original forme. See also Guinard's "System of 8 Houses", CURA.

Abstract: As our readers well know, the classical importance of the Angles of the chart was consistently confirmed by the statistical analysis, while the emphasis traditionally put on the adjacent "Angular Houses" could never be confirmed. Why do the significant results always appear in the "Cadent Houses" situated after the Angles (in the direction of the diurnal motion of the heavenly bodies) and not in the "Angular Houses" situated before the Angles? The author finds in the history of astrology an answer to this irritating riddle.
