My! The list has been more silent than usual! Granted, it has been a fairly trying year thus far, but I expected a more traffic. I was worried that the list was broken, but here is proof that the list is working.

I wanted to drop a few links to an interesting article I encountered yesterday. One of my concerns when starting the list was that there be some conversation about the parts of the culture where one finds astrolog and astrologers, but we've never delved into this in any great detail. I've both praised and condemned the "New Age Movement" for a variety of reasons, but have seen very few thoughtful writings on the subject. But I found this link yesterday:

which is titled "AP Wire | 02/03/2003 | Vatican Weighs In on New Age Movement" and which points to the final draft copy of the document on the "New Age Movement" from the Vatican:

which has some very good bits in it. The first half is very good, but, since I'm not a follower, the second bit isn't very impressive to me.

My question is: is astrolgoy well served by its acceptance from NewAgers?

In any case, have a look. Tell us what you think.
