Hmmm, perhaps my questions were a bit poorly worded and badly expressed. I wasn't asking about the validity of transits, but, rather, the effect of computers on the personal working habits of astrologers and the techniques they choose to employ. Excuse me for interjecting comments about my use of transits that clouded the question a bit, I didn't believe anyone would be interested in my own use or non-use of transits. Debates about the validity of techniques tend to go nowhere since nobody can provide reproducable results for their favorite techniques. I think that it is more interesting to look at what external forces influence the choice of techniques and how the typical "standard techniques" for various schools change over time. Thus my questions.

Are you saying that people under 40 are ignorant of fundamentals or are you perhaps saying that the advent of astrology software has hidden these fundamentals from astrologers? Or both? Did I miss the point and you mean something else entirely?
